(beyonce OR lady gaga) > taylor

s, do not repost after this!!

We all know how you feel about Miss Swift… but I think many people agree that Taylor was not the Album of the Year?!

You cannot tell me that Beyonce or Lady Gaga’s albums weren’t better…. seriously?!  I’m all for Taylor’s cute songs; they really do pick you up sometimes, but the range of talent is just not there with her.  Her talent is winning people’s hearts and being adorable.

Also, kind of ironic: “Having one of Kanye’s #1 artist present Taylor Swift w/ the biggest award… this is a game ppl.. “

do what you love, and love what you do

“Follow your passion, and success will follow you.” — Arthur Buddhold

I wholeheartedly believe that these words could not be more true. After all, we only have one life to live; why spend it doing anything other than pursuing our passions? So many people blindly strive solely for success and entertain the hope that once their definition of success has been achieved, they will have become passionate about their career and about their lives. And so many people end up discovering that this is not, in fact, the case.

Adding to k’s post about why college is not for everyone, I completely agree. I think it depends fully on the person. If someone knows who he or she is and what he or she is passionate about and what he or she wants to do in life, maybe college is just a waste of time (if said person is also willing to give up 4 fun, crazy, unforgettable years). If, however, a person has yet to discover what he or she is passionate about (as is the case with many college-age students), I can attest that there is no better place to explore practically every interest one may have and figure out exactly what one wants to do. Not to mention the place where one will form countless friendships to last a lifetime. (Case in point: without college, s would not have met k).

Anyway, one last thing: NIVEA Body Smooth Sensation lotion offers a hands-down, no-fail way to get endless compliments on how smooth and silky and straight up luscious your skin is. (Seriously).

why i don’t believe in USA’s idea of college

College is great for some people. For others, it’s a waste of time.

I look back on icons: Shakespeare (I LOVE SHAKESPEARE) or Bethoven or Monet, Dali, and more. There is something that they all have in common: a sort of maniacal passion for what they do. It consumes them and drives them to learn and dig deeper. But they dig deeper on their own. They learn not for grades in college but for the sake of learning more about what they love.

Yes, some people need the discipline of the USA’s higher education system. Hell, some people even need the discipline that the military offers. And that’s just fine. But others don’t. Instead, they spend their time doing the traditional thing — going to college — until finally someday they have the courage to make the leap and go for it…

Lady Gaga said in last month’s ELLE interview: “I loved NYU, but I thought I could teach myself about art better than the school could. I really felt New York was my teacher and that I needed to bite the bullet and go it alone. I wasn’t interested in going to frat parties and doing those sorts of collegiate things.”

smartwater makes us wise.

remember how we said that if people describe themselves as down-to-earth, then they usually aren’t?

well, in our experiences, the same thing goes for males who tell you that they “want to treat you right.” if the man is truly a good guy, he will just treat you right. simple as that. it will not even cross his mind to need to verbalize this because it is inherent within him that he is going to treat you right. so, note to self: “i want to treat you right” = hasta la vista, baby.

just a little red flag alert.
